“She won’t get much air time”

Conventional wisdom is that you announce the news you don’t want to get major coverage late on a Friday afternoon. A holiday weekend is even better. Which is why many, including me, thought the timing of Sarah Palin’s announcement strange and foreboding.

But, what have all the media outlets been leading with this weekend? Sure much of the coverage is unfavorable. Sarah Palin has come to expect that. But some are thinking that she just may be Crazy like a Fox.

I’m not inclined to predict what’s next for Sarah Palin. How it makes sense to leave mid-term still escapes me. But I think, after the weekend, that she’s not quitting. She has a plan.

And I don’t think that’s going home to bake cookies.

I’ve never thought I needed a title before one’s name to forge progress in America. I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint. I hope you will join me. Now is the time to rebuild and help our nation achieve greatness!
