Epiphany

6 Jan

The light of Christ has come to the world.

Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
Isaiah 60:1

Today, January 6 is known in Christianity as Epiphany, or in some countries Three Kings Day. The term epiphany means “to show” or “to make known” or even “to reveal.”So we remember the coming of the Christ Child the light of the world.  And we remember the coming of the Magi who brought their gifts.

Consider today the gift(s) you may bring to the King of Kings.

And with the Magi, worship the Christ who came as a little child, yet who would redeem us through his life, his death, his resurrection.

Isn’t He

Isn’t He beautiful?  Beautiful, oh isn’t He?
Prince of Peace, Almighty God, isn’t He?
Isn’t He wonderful?  Wonderful, oh isn’t He?
Prince of Peace, Almighty God, isn’t He, isn’t He, isn’t He.
