Richard Blumenthal doesn’t know the words to “Still in Saigon”

Candidate’s Words on Vietnam Service Differ From History
The New York Times

…the way he speaks about his military service has led to confusion and frequent mischaracterizations of his biography in his home state newspapers. In at least eight newspaper articles published in Connecticut from 2003 to 2009, he is described as having served in Vietnam.

Also not on Harvard’s swim team.

I worked for a candidate once who was thoroughly trashed by the media and his opponent because of something on his resume that didn’t quite portray an accurate picture, even though it was not an embellishment and was technically true. I should know. I typed the resume.

But these are words out of Mr. Blumenthal’s own mouth.

Try as he might, Mr. Blumenthal can’t pass this off as clerical error.
