About Sarah Palin and Politico

1 Nov

So, according to Politico – Next for GOP leaders: Stopping Sarah Palin

Top Republicans in Washington and in the national GOP establishment say the 2010 campaign highlighted an urgent task that they will begin in earnest as soon as the elections are over: Stop Sarah Palin.

I just can’t stand garbage like this. First of all, who are these anonymous sources? And why won’t Politico name them?

Secondly, “Top Republicans” are the reason we have Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi. Their failure to lead when they were in charge led to this. As Scott Rasmussen pointed out in The Wall Street Journal tomorrow is A Vote Against Dems, Not for the GOP.

Finally, if the GOP “elites” want to make THIS their mission, let me be clear, Sarah Palin is not my candidate for 2012…

BUT she WILL be.

Liberals Say the Darnedest Things

20 Apr

So, while the President and his media bridesmaids are all trying to tell you how hateful, how violent, how racist the Tea Parties are, let’s take a stroll down memory lane with just a few fine examples of how the left likes to raise the level of discourse.

“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. Iwant you to argue with them and get in their face”
~ Candidate Barack Obama, September, 2008

“I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.”
~ Senator Hillary Clinton, 2003

“If we were living in another country, what we, all of us together, would go down to Washington and stone Henry Hyde to death, stone him to death, stone him to death! Then we would go to their house and we’d kill the family, kill the children.”
~ Actor Alec Baldwin on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” 1998

“the type of female that does like Rush Limbaugh is the same type of woman that falls in love with prisoners. Eva Braun, Hitler’s girlfriend. That is exactly the type of woman that responds really well to Rush.”
~ Janeane Garofalo , April 2009

“Rush Limbaugh said he hopes this administration fails. You know, so you are saying, I hope America fails. You are like, I don’t care about people losing their homes or jobs or our soldiers in Iraq. He just wants the country to fail. To me, that’s treason. He is not saying anything different than what Osama Bin Laden is saying. Rush Limbaugh! I hope the country fails? I hope his kidneys fail; how about that?
~ Wanda Sykes , May 9, 2009

“Well, I really think that President George Bush shatters the myth of white supremacy once and for all; it shows that, in this great country, anybody can become president.”
~ Charlie Rangel , April 4, 2005

“A spoiled child is telling us our Social Security isn’t safe anymore, so he isgoing to fix it for us. Well, here’s your answer, you ungrateful whelp: [audiosound of 4 gunshots being fired.] Just try it, you little bastard. http://of%20gun%20being%20cocked.”
~ Failed Air America Radio Host Randi Rhodes, April, 2005

Al Gore called Oliver North “the colonel of untruth” and said Mr. North was counting on political contributions from “the extra-chromosome right wing.”
Virginia Senate Campaign, 1994

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”
Candidate Barack Obama, June 2008

Video of the Day: Tina Fey does Sarah Palin…again

12 Apr

Tina Fey hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and as we could expect, reprised her role as Sarah Palin. Even if you’re a Sarah fan, this is pretty funny stuff.

Does someone owe Sarah Palin an apology? Watch and decide for yourself.

Sarah Palin: We’re not going to sit down and shut up

Preach it Sarah.

I remain skeptical about whether or not I could support Sarah Palin for the White House.

In reality, I like her just where she is, driving the left nuts.

Palin to tea party rally: Don’t sit down, shut up

About 7,000 people streamed into tiny Searchlight, a former mining town 60 miles south of Las Vegas, bringing American flags, “Don’t Tread on Me” signs and outspoken anger toward Reid, President Barack Obama and the health care overhaul.

…”We’re not going to sit down and shut up. Thank you for standing up,” Palin said.

RE J.D. Hayworth, this is good to know.

18 Feb

Yesterday, we questioned J.D. Hayworth’s affinity for the birther movement.

Today, Erick at RedState helped to set the record straight: J.D. Hayworth and the Birther Issue: A Non-Story

Congressman Hayworth wants everyone to know that he does not think there is an issue and he suspects the issue is being dug up by Senator McCain’s team as an unpleasant distraction from the big issues facing the people of Arizona.

Yeah, Erick.  I believe him too.

Maybe this is why Sarah endorsed McCain

18 Feb

Some say it was loyalty.  Some say she’s betraying the conservatives.

But maybe Sarah Palin endrosed John McCain for re-election because J.D. Hayworth is a “Birther.”

Erick Erickson at RedState says: Campbell Brown is Right and Hayworth is An Idiot if He Sticks to This

Erickson quotes AZ/DC Blog:

Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, who on Monday officially entered Arizona’s Republican race against Sen. John McCain, defended his recent call for President Barack Obama to produce his birth certificate, suggesting his questions stem not from conspiracy theories that Obama was really born in Kenya but from concerns about identity theft.

Hayworth says he doesn’t doubt Obama is who he says he is or that he’s eligible to be President. He says this is about “itentity theft.”

Sure it is.

Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink…

Hey Sarah, don't sweat the small stuff

First Sarah Palin called for the firing of Rahm Emmanuel for his “effing retards” remark.  Now she’s going after Family Guy.

Sarah Palin, daughter Bristol take on ‘Family Guy’
Richmond Examiner

First, it was David Letterman; now, Sarah Palin has a new adversary in “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane. Why? The controversial cartoon decided to air a new episode on Sunday that made a jab at down syndrome. As many of us know, Palin’s son Trig was born with the genetic disorder.

I like you Sarah.  I don’t know if I want you to be President.  But I like you.

But c’mon, if you’re going to play in the big leagues, you’re going to have to toughen up.  You should know by now that they’re going to say nasty things. They’re going to make things up.

Don’t take the bait.  Going off on a tangent about their shameful and nasty jokes merely distracts from your message.

After all, Jesus said there’d be days like this.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
~ Matthew 5:11

They attack you, and your family, Sarah because they don’t like your message.  And they don’t like your popularity.  Responding to their nonsense attacks only gives them credibility.

Regardless of your political ambitions, you’ve got another good 20-30 years of getting your message out.  If you continue to react to their attacks, they’ll only get worse.

Don’t feed their egos.

Tea Time with Sarah Palin

6 Feb

I didn’t get the chance to watch Sarah Palin’s speech at the Tea Party Convention.  But apparently she was in a take no prisoner mood.  Here are some of the just in stories.

Palin Calls Obama Budget ‘Immoral’
New York Times

Palin told the national ”tea party” convention Saturday that America’s national debt, which is held largely by other nations, ”makes us less free” and ”should tick us off.”

Palin to Obama: ‘Stop lecturing, start listening’
Former Alaska governor slams president’s handling of economy, security

The former Republican vice presidential candidate told people attending the convention that it’s time America had a commander in chief, not a professor at a lectern.

Palin says Obama policies to be short-lived
Associated Press via Yahoo!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sarah Palin is predicting a good year for conservative candidates for public office, saying the policies of President Barack Obama and Democratic leaders in Congress will be short-lived.

I honestly haven’t decided if I could support Sarah Palin for President.  But I want her around for a long time.  Just because she drives the left and the media (redundant, I know) absolutely bonkers.

Palin more popular than Obama in Virginia?

9 Aug

That’s one take on these numbers:

Poll: Obama less popular than Palin in Virginia
Newport News Conservative Examiner

When asked if Obama’s campaigning for Deeds for governor would help or hurt, only 14 percent of likely voters said it would make them more likely to vote for Deeds…Other the other hand, when asked if former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin campaigning for Republican Bob McDonnell would help or hurt, 26 percent said it would make them more likely to vote for McDonnell…

Things that make you go “hmmmmm….”
