But none of these media outlets mentioned that the White House had to hand out lab coats to a number of the doctors in attendance who showed up in business attire. Apparently trying to drive home the image of medical professionals applauding the President, the White House would not start the press conference until all of the doctors were dressed in the “spiffy” outfits, in the President’s words.

When the White House announced plans for the president’s nationwide address to schoolchildren two weeks ago, worried parents were dismissed as “kooks.” We pointed to the subtext of “social justice” activism rampant in American classrooms. It’s time for a big fat Told You So.

Acknowledging the historic nature of Obama’s presidency (“the first black American”) is one thing. Deifying him with creepy spiritual references (“red, yellow, black and white, all are equal in his sight” is cribbed from the famous hymn “Jesus Loves the Little Children”; cheering “you are No. 1”) is quite another.

And you thought we were overreacting about "The Speech"

I’ve already said, Obama’s speech to the school kids wasn’t bad. My son will be seeing it in Chesterfield schools. We signed the form saying it was okay. But, once again, it was the Department of Education lesson plan that came along with it.

But many of you tried to write it off as right-wing hysteria. View this and make that comment again.

This is disturbing. Very disturbing.

We can only hope that the President is as disturbed by this as we are.

“ABC” stands for All Barack’s Children. On September 8, young students across the country will be watching television. Yes, they’ll be parked in front of the boob tube and computer screens watching President Obama’s address on education.

On some levels I’m thinking “This could be kinda cool” sort of a civics lesson. If that’s what it was.

But this is Barack Obama we’re talking about. This is propaganda plain and simple. He wants Dick and Jane to come home and convince Mums and Dads to support his agenda.

It’s a risky move with his numbers in the polls tanking. But it doesn’t end there, On Wednesday, the President will address a joint session of Congress to talk about health care.

I won’t keep my son out of school on the first day. Chesterfield is apparently meeting tomorrow to determine how to address this. If my son’s class watches this, we’ll talk about it.

One year ago, he made a promise. He pledged to accept public financing and to work with the Republican nominee to ensure that they both operated within those limits.  Then it became clear to Sen. Obama and his campaign that he was going to be able to raise on his own far more cash than he would get with public financing. So Obama went back on his word.

We won’t be watching the Barack Show tonight.  Of course, if he’d pattern it after the Saturday Night Live version, we might just rethink that.

Hawaii B.O.: What's the real truth about Obama's birth certificate?

Honestly, I’ve not talked about this before because I really think that if there was something to it, Hillary would have found it.  Still, the fact remains that Barack Obama hasn’t exactly been forthcoming about the whole story.  Maybe he thought if he ignored it, it would go away.

But why not just produce the birth certificate and get it over with?  That’s what John McCain did when he was questioned about his birth in Panama (to United States citizens serving in the military).

I mean, doesn’t Obama have a copy of his birth certificate?  Didn’t he need it to apply for his social security card, or his passport?  Or for his college admission?  Heck, earlier this year I had to provide my birth certificate just to get my driver’s license renewed.

Even if he didn’t have a copy, he could easily get one from the State of Hawaii.  He was there this summer for over a week.  He knew the issue was out there.

Why not end the speculation?  Why not make Philip J. Berg look like a fool?

Instead Berg announced today that Obama & DNC Admit All Allegations of Federal Court Lawsuit – Obama’s “Not” Qualified to be President

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 10/21/08) – Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and tbe DNC “ADMITTED”, by way of failure to timely respond to Requests for Admissions, all of the numerous specific requests in the Federal lawsuit. Obama is “NOT QUALIFIED” to be President and therefore Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President and the DNC shall substitute a qualified candidate. The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

I’m no lawyer, and I don’t play one on the Internet. So I don’t know if there’s substanct to Berg’s legal claim or not.

But again, why hasn’t Obama just answered the question?

Some are speculating that this is the real reason he went to Hawaii.

Earlier this week, as we all know (unless you’re living in a cave, under a rock where only Joe Biden knows your undisclosed location), Barack Obama announced that he would be traveling to Hawaii to visit his ailing grandmother. [New York Times]

In an interview with CBS Anchor Harry Smith said that he wanted to go see his grandmother because he didn’t want to repeat the mistake he made with not getting home to see his dying mother in time.

We certainly extend our best wishes to Mrs. Dunham.  Forgive me for suggesting he’s untrustworthy (instead of just saying it outright).  And forgive me for sounding callous.  I’ve had ailing relatives.  I’ve been told they’re at death’s door and if I wanted to see them, I needed to get there asap.

I didn’t wait four days to go see them.  Especially not if I’d had the experience of being too late before.

Was it that important for Obama to appear in Richmond yesterday?  After all, if we’re to believe the polls he’s some eight-hunnert and fifty-three bazillion points ahead in the Commonwealth.  Why the timing for the Hawaii trip?

Could it be that Obama needed to get to Hawaii to deal with the lawsuit filed by Andy Martin?

Or are Philip Berg and Andy Martin wingnuts who just want some attention?

But consider these “facts.”

• Barack Obama’s paternal grandmother said she was in delivery room in Kenya with brother and sister in 1961.
• Obama’s half-sister Maya names the Hawaii hospital in which he was born.  Barack Obama names a different hospital.
• Obama spent four years in school in Indonesia, at a time of war when supposedly you could not attend school if you were not a citizen.  A copy of a school record lists Barry Sotero (his stepfather’s last name) as a citizen of Indonesia.
• Obama and the DNC have tried to have Berg’s lawsuit dismissed for legal technicalities.

Is this all just a bit of wing nuttery?  Have I wasted an evening pulling this post together?

One thing continues to tell me that I have:  Hillary would have found it.  Unless, of course, I wrap myself completely in tin foil and speculate that this is her way of getting him out of her way for 2012.

Most of me thinks there’s just nothing here.  But I can’t get away from the nagging question of why doesn’t Barack Obama just produce the document and be done with it?

Then again, why haven’t we seen his medical records, or his college transcripts?  Or why don’t we know the extent of his relationships with William Ayers, with Jeremiah Wright, with Louis Farrakahn, with Tony Rezko, with ACORN, etc., etc., etc.?

There’s just too much we don’t know.  We expect the main stream media to jump right on this.

Just as soon as they find out where Sarah Palin got that stunning new jacket.

Not sure about Barack Obama?  Something just not settling in right?  Consider the following.  And remember these aren’t my words.

John McCain in the U.S. presidential election. At the same time, 62% of world citizens surveyed did not have an opinion.

Okay, I just have to ask.  How many wars have we fought for the right for the world not to tell us how to live our lives?  And on that list of 70 countries, how many of their backsides have we pulled out the fire with our blood and money?

If the United States wants to elect Barack Obama (and for the life of me, I’ll never understand why), it should not be because the world tells us to.
